July's block with Quilt Doodles BOM, is the sweetest cabin. Cabins aren't something you would think of as sweet. But when it is 100 degrees outside it is either sweet or sweat. Picking through my stash for the right fabrics was easy and the block was done quickly.
Today 30 minutes before the regular quilters' meeting, those of us in the Quilt Doodles BOM brought our blocks to share. I just had to take a picture of the cabins. A few of the girls were MIA and one is a month behind. Her printer doesn't work, so when we meet I bring her a copy.
If you look closely at the cabins, there is one that has blue trees. She had just started getting her stuff together so nothing was attached. It's amazing in blue--it looks frosty. This dear quilter does everything in blue and it always looks wonderful.
I think it is more fun doing a BOM with a group. The ideas and inspiration from others just adds to our quilting skills.

What fun blocks! I'm not usually a fan of house blocks, but these are adorable. It is neat to see the variations. Love the blue trees!
