Octagon Table Toppers

This week I got four more table toppers made for the hospital gift shop. The coffee fabric is running short so this may be the end of those. I liked using scraps from my 1930s reproduction fabric--the green one--and another I forgot to photo before it went to the shop. These seem to sell fast perhaps because they are small.

This is the only one quilted so far. I took it outside to show it with our spring blooms. They don't take much quilting--a bit of stippling in the center and stitch in the ditch around the black band. Since it is "pillowcased" it only requires topstitching around the edge. With all the warmer weather this year, the yard is on fire with flowers.  Here are some yellow freesias.

And here with a cyclamen.

These are red freesias but they are not as fragrant as the yellow ones for some reason.

I guess spring is here to stay.  Remember daylight savings time change this weekend.  One less hour to sew.
