Flags on a Stick

The day to show my flag has finally come.  What fun I had cutting, piecing and stitching a flag to hang this summer.  These are remnants from a quilt I made using these delightful fruit ladies. A bit of hand embroidery is flying in the sky. Don't those girls make you laugh or even smile? Think beach! The time is just around the corner.

Our closest beach is about 60 miles away.  So for this photo shoot my husband found a nice green area and added a few shells for atmosphere. I put it on a stick and he attached it to the screening covered with plants and flowers.

Here's a close up of my favorite ladies--other than my blog friends and other quilters. Are you in  this picture? Not me.  I'm a two potato lady.

Yes, those are roses blooming in the background.  They are a bit early but we are enjoying them.

Great thanks to Madame Samm and Thearica for this fun blog hop and also all the other participants and their creative Flag on a Stick.

March 26th

Keep calm and carry a sharp needle. See you soon.

  20. Marcy ... this really brightens my day and puts a big smile on my face. I have some of that fruit ladies fabric in my stash that I received in a beach fabris swap a few summers back and have been wondering what to do with it. I think a summer banner ... and a summer placemat or two ... are in my future. Thanks, once again, for the inspiration ... :) Pat
