Yes, I am catching up. Farmhouse Threads Blog Hop did a wonderful BOW that could have been completed in time for patriotic holidays. It'll be completed for next year. A friend of mine got up early every Friday morning, printed the pattern and shopped for her fabric. I, on the other hand, ordered the kits from some of the designers. Do I lack creativity?
This is the block was designed by Lisa of Primitive Gatherings. I've made a few of her designs and am fascinated by the dimension of her patterns. Every single bud on these geraniums are hand cut and individually stitched with a whip stitch and French knot. The wools in her kits have lots of shading.
I've included this awkward photo so you can see the dimension.
This slow stitching during the summer is a good way to do two things at once: baseball on TV and stitching. It's good to take along for just a few spare moments of fabric therapy.
Camera stuff is not my bag (can you tell). Perhaps you can squint a bit and see the flower buds.
The list of the designers is and the finished quilt is at Farm House Threads.
