We had our first of the season strawberries and they were delicious. A bit late this year may be due to all the rain. But the first strawberries are the best. We have a small stand about five miles from here. People wait in line 10 deep sometimes. The first time we were there we had to wait while they brought some in from the field. You just can't get fresher than that.
In honor of strawberry season, I got out my strawberry pincushions and made this strawberry mini quilt. I had seen it at many websites/blogs and thought I'd give it a try. One blogger I remember who had it was Tanya in Colorado. She has a great eye for color and makes some really beautiful quilts.

Hope your spring is as good as mine.

Beautiful quilt!
ReplyDeleteYou had your first strawberries in April? Wow. We don't have our first before June... :-(
Your plants are beautiful too! Very summer looking to me. Have a good week!
Beautiful little strawberry quilt! Here in Iowa strawberries are a long, long way off!
ReplyDeleteWhat cute springy quilts! We are a long way, way, WAY from strawberries here in Wisconsin. In fact, we're supposed to get 2-3" of s.n.o.w. tomorrow night/Thursday morning. Boo! ~smile~
