Fall?
The calendar says fall but it sure has been hot here. Today the skies were beautiful with big puffy clouds. I hope that's a clue to cooler temperatures.
Wool applique hand work has taken over my evenings while I watch the end of the baseball season and the start of the football months. It's great to have something to keep busy with now that the nights are coming earlier.
I have two quilts to show you. Both are for philanthropy and using their fabric. This baby fabric stole my heart. Yep. The world stopped while I tried to figure out a quilt for it. There were some fat quarters and yardage. I'm making a different pattern for the next one. It's just not put together yet.
Maybe it's just that I am old that I love this fabric. Sew so sweet.
I also acquired some of the sock monkey fabric charm squares. There were only seven of the red and different counts on the others. It was an easy, quick quilt.
Perhaps I'll have some of my wool applique to show soon. It's fun and easier on old arthritic fingers.

Your pink quilt is very beautiful. I like the blocks you've inserted into the panel. They're perfect for the theme. I really like that fabric, which makes me old too... ;-)
ReplyDeleteDarling baby quilts!
ReplyDeleteOh I especially love the pink one. You've inspired me to look at panels in a whole new way as this is an adorable use of one!! And sock monkeys are always cute!!!
