Potholders

Am I nuts? Don't I have better things to do? No answer please.

I stitched up these potholders using fabric leftover from making the microwave soup bowl potholders. It's a tough job because of the thickness and probably won't attempt it again. At least it is out of my system.

The easy-to-follow tut is HERE. They are colorful and make a nice gift.  It was easy enough to print out recipe cards on colored card stock.

Simple straight line quilting is all that is needed. The spotted spatula is from Kohl's. And, after sticker shock at Target ($10), the Dollar store was the next stop.

Folded in half, stuffed in a cello bag and tied with a contrasting ribbon will finish them off.

Now on to more important things like quilting.

  1. Marcy those are just darling, especially with the spatulas added. Never saw a polka dot spatula before, how cute. I know what you mean about making some things and never again. You just feel compelled to try making it at least once. That's me alright! You have a few gifts already to go for any occasion now.
