Sun Bonnet Sue plus Odds and Ends

Hello out there in sewing land. Hope your day is going well.

Today my friendship group met with three people out! We were to reveal our Sun Bonnet Sue block from the ugly fabric swap. The month before, we swapped unappreciated fabric in an unopened envelope. We sat for three hours today and had all of our sewing/quilting questions answered by and for one member or all.

Some of the fabric just wasn't horrid enough. Look at these adorable ladies in some great colors. As you can see, we have one overachiever make an entire quilt. Most of the ugly fabric was used for Sue's shoes.  Funny how one Sue is facing the other way.

Then yesterday I  had to try it. Ft. Worth Fabric, has another well-done tutorial for this cute exposed lace zip bag that goes together close to instantly. I had a black lace zipper and had to try it.  *I am not paid to endorse anyone just passing the info along to you.

Now this afternoon for a trip through the garden to see a blooming amaryllis, out of season of course,  and maybe grab Marie Bostick's new book.

  1. Great blocks and I don't think the fabrics are horrid! Maybe a little vintage looking which is perfect for the Sun Bonnet Sue!
